Compaint Against the Publishers of the Calgary Sun, its Owners and Shareholders

Charge - Fraudulent Advertisement for Hollywood Weekend-TurboDiet Weight Loss Plan and Selling Weight Loss Products not Approved for Use in Canada

The following is an exact word-for-word reproduction of the Hollywood Weekend-TurboDiet advertisement that ran on two whole pages, 32-33, in the Calgary Sun on June 18, 2000. The spelling and grammatical mistakes are their mistakes, not mine.

The Calgary Sun said that the advertisement cost over $6,500. The top of the first page showed before and after shots, a series of 5 pictures. The rest of the advertisment contained pictures of a doctor, a pill and other sexy stuff.

    DietFraud Comments:

I don't think that I've seen any advertisement like this before

    1. The thigh cream is illegal. They can't even spell it correctly.
    2. How much does it take to send a bottle of useless natural products across to Canada?
    3. Who is the doctor?
    4. Who are the testimonials really from?
    5. Who is the stupid person who works for Brian Mulroney in the Sun newspaper chain who allows this advertisement to appear in the first place?
    6. Why can't the Sun Newspaper chain police their advertising sections and set guidelines for bogus and fraudulent advertising?
    7. The Canadian postal service is being used to receive and ship unapproved weight loss products and bogus thigh cream!
    8. Which health department approved the 12 vitamins and 6 minerals in this bogus product?

This advertisement will be on our www.dietfraud.com website for all to see and will remain there until the Sun Media empire stops this attack against the Canadian public.

Here are some details if anyone who reads this e-mail would like check. I would really like the Windsor Star and the media in Windsor to get on this one right away. I assume that these folks are too stupid to try to place an advertisement in any other paper in Canada. Maybe they should try the Detroit papers instead.

The Hollywood Weekend-Turbo weight-loss program is being run out of gym called the Fitness Works, in LaSalle, Ontario (Windsor).

Address is at the Malden Mall at 5841 Malden Rd. Unit-200 (it's upstairs) I was told that there are two brothers who run the place. One of them is named Tony Azir.
